1. Start your private cookbook
Create a free account to save recipes. My Recipes is your complete library: every recipe you save lives there. Your saved recipes, notes, and photos are private to your account, not public search pages.
2. Bring your recipes together
Add a family favorite by entering its title, ingredients, steps, servings, and optional photo or notes. Already have recipes in a spreadsheet? Use Import CSV in My Recipes, download the sample template, and review any issues before saving.
You can also search by dish or ingredient on the homepage before signing up. Results show source credit and ratings when a source publishes them. Saving requires an account.
What happens when you paste a recipe link?
DishSaver tries to read the recipe on that exact page; it does not substitute a web search or offer unrelated alternatives. Some publishers block automated access, and not every page contains a complete recipe. If a link cannot be read, add the recipe manually using content you have permission to use.
Social-link imports use accessible captions or descriptions, not video audio. A TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or Pinterest link without written ingredients and instructions may not import. Search and extraction also depend on third-party service availability. Check imported quantities and steps before cooking.
3. Organize without moving recipes
Create collections for Weeknight Dinners, Family Favorites, or Recipes to Try. A recipe can belong to more than one collection and still remains in My Recipes. Favorites provide a separate way to mark the recipes you return to.
Search your saved recipes by title, ingredients, or instructions; use collection and favorites filters to narrow the list.
4. Adjust your servings
Change the displayed servings to scale ingredient quantities while keeping the original recipe amounts. Review quantities with judgment: cooking times, pan sizes, and seasoning do not necessarily scale proportionally.
What is—and isn’t—available?
Manual recipe entry, private photos, collections, favorites, library search, CSV import, and serving adjustments are available. Web search and link extraction depend on source access and service availability. Cooking Mode and public recipe sharing are previews, not available features. Social imports do not transcribe video.
Use DishSaver in a web browser on your phone or computer. Sign in to the same account to reach your cookbook.
