Privacy Policy

Effective October 17, 2026 · Last updated October 17, 2026

DishSaver respects your privacy. This Policy explains how DishSaver.app (the “Service”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you visit the Site, create an account, use your private cookbook, or contact us. Read it alongside our Terms of Use.

Why we collect information

We use information to provide and secure your cookbook, maintain your account, save and organize your recipes, respond to requests, and understand and troubleshoot the Service. We do not use your private recipes to create a public recipe library.

Types of data collected

  • Account information: email address, any name you provide, account identifiers, registration time, and sign-in method. Authentication is handled securely by our authentication provider; contact forms must never include passwords.
  • Cookbook content: recipes, ingredients, instructions, notes, photos, collections, favorites, and related settings or timestamps that you choose to save, including CSV imports.
  • Contact information: the name, email address, and message you submit, plus subsequent correspondence.
  • Technical and usage information: hosting and security systems may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request timestamps, errors, and system logs needed to operate and protect the Service.

Account information is needed to use the private cookbook. Contact fields are needed to respond to a message. Recipe photos and optional recipe details are voluntary. If you sign in with Google, we receive the account details provided through that sign-in process, subject to Google’s policies.

Methods of processing and security

Information is processed electronically using access controls and organizational safeguards. Cookbook records are restricted to their owner, and recipe images are kept in private storage with temporary access links. Authorized providers or personnel may process information where needed for operation, support, security, or legal compliance. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Legal basis and purposes of processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our agreement with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as securing and maintaining the Service and answering requests, or rely on consent where required. You can ask us for details about the basis for a particular use.

Service providers and disclosures

Lovable Cloud provides hosting, authentication, database, and private storage services. Lovable’s managed email service sends account-related app messages and forwards Contact Us submissions. Google processes information when you choose Google sign-in. Providers process information as needed to deliver their services and under their applicable terms and safeguards.

The site owner receives new-user registration alerts containing the user’s name, email, registration time, and sign-in method. Contact submissions are forwarded to the owner’s support inbox so they can respond. We do not sell your personal information or provide your private cookbook to advertisers. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the Service.

Cookies and local storage

The Service uses browser storage and, where applicable, cookies to maintain sign-in sessions and remember preferences such as your theme. Blocking or clearing essential storage may sign you out or prevent account features from working. This policy does not authorize advertising tracking; if optional tracking is introduced, we will provide the notices and choices required by law.

Account emails

Confirmed account holders may receive a welcome email and other service-related messages. Email providers may retain sending, rejection, or suppression records to support reliable delivery. App emails include a managed unsubscribe option; authentication messages such as password resets are handled separately.

Location of processing

Our providers may process or store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards under applicable data protection law. Contact us for more information about processing locations and safeguards relevant to your request.

Retention time

We keep account and cookbook information while needed to provide your account. You can delete individual recipes through the Service and request deletion of your account and related information through Contact Us. Correspondence, security logs, and email records may be retained as necessary for support, security, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. Backups and provider records may remain for a limited period under their retention procedures. We do not promise immediate removal from every backup.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, withdraw consent, or complain to a data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. Certain rights have legal exceptions.

Use Contact Us in the footer to exercise these rights. We may verify your identity before acting, and will respond within the periods required by applicable law. Requests are generally free; any legally permitted charge or refusal will be explained.

Children’s privacy

DishSaver is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

External websites and additional information

Recipe source links and other external sites have their own privacy policies. DishSaver does not control their practices. Contact us if you need details about a particular data use, provider, or privacy request.

Changes to this Policy

We will post updates here with a revised date and provide additional notice where required. If a change requires consent, we will seek it before applying the change to that processing.
